  • LS6 Valve Springs and Retainers work on our cars?

Would the LS6 springs and retainers fit our 3.8's with no modifying them or what? Thanks

My mechanic told me they will...I puchased one of ours and one of the '01 LS6 springs and retainer...He looked at them, and put them both on a head...He said they will work fine, mine will be on the begginning of this next week.

So is this to say that performance LS1 springs and retainers will also work?? (Comp Cams, etc)

Yes, most popular LS1 springs that you will see the V6 guys running are the CompCams 915's and 918's. They work fine.

will our stock l36 retainers work with ls1/ls6 springs?

will any spring binding occur with stock ls1 and/or 2001 ls6 springs at 6500 rpm, with a .510 lift cam?

I vaguely rememebtr my mechanic telling me that he had to use the LS1 or LS6 spring on my car. Sorry I don't remember, that was many moons ago.
