I have a 96 camaro and am looking for a 97 pcm so i can make use of your software via texas speed. However, all of my efforts to find said pcm have failed. someone told me that a 97 grand prix pcm is compatible and that if everything is programmed right, it should work correctly. what is your take on this??

I'd order a 97 PCM from tacreations.. Ask for Brent.. feel free to plug my name (Keith the guy that did the V8 swap) if ya like. He's a huge help!

i tried them once, but they told me they didn't have any more for a 97. I'll try again though with your reference. Hopefully it'll work out. thanks Keith!

also, swapping from a 96 pcm to a 97.. is it just plug and play? or are there other things to worry about..

i know in 97 they had some digital odometers and whatnot.. at least my old 97 firebird did.

will we come across any problems swapping PCM's?

oops.. sorry read the other post.. you said they are they same pinnouts.

but im still concerned about the digital odometer

I'm running a 97 PCM in my 96 without a single problem, Speedo works fine as well as all the other gauges, including Odometer.

Since the 98 engine is the same as 96-97, will a 98 PCM work, as well as the 97.

            Magnus??

98 Will work in a 96-97, but requires cutting and splicing. The pinouts are different they are not direct plug and play like going from 96 to 97!
