Exactly but stated a bit harsh. I do think your car is peaking 200-210hp near 6000RPM at the wheels, however I still don't feel the heads do a hill of beans of good for our engines (maybe not anything bad either) when you're running n/a. I still think anything over 190hp is excellent on the dyno for our cars, people think +10hp is easy to get from an engine and that only applies to *large* 5.7L V8s... when you're dealing with less you should EXPECT less from the same mod - it only makes proportional sense!
I've said this online to you Pgriff, but I'll state it here. I still only feel that with awesome tuning and the perfect cam you aren't going to see a HELL of a lot more power. It is volumetrically impossible for our cars, running stock compression, at 1atm in perfect weather, to produce more than about 250bhp or 210rwhp @ 5200RPM. If you can extend the horsepower peak past 5200, to say 6000, you're looking at a MAXIMUM NORMALLY ASPIRATED HORSEPOWER level of 290-295 (~240bhp).
If this is not enough, you need a bigger engine, or a blower (simulated displacement). You cannot exceed 1.00VE on an engine under normal conditions unless you exceed 8,000RPM (intake charge inertia can fake a blower at high horsepower... for those who are wondering...) - so these numbers are about accurate +/- 10hp.
So - you're doing really well with that *weenie* cam, and with tuning and a good dyno to 6,000 you might notice you have quite a bit more power than you thought you did.
Goodluck on your next dyno.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I dynoed 200rwhp @ 5850rpms with my heads and cam package. It also gave me a trap speed of 94mph at the track. That was with headers and a full cat-back, but the stock cat and s-pipe w/ 80k+ miles on it. I replace the cat and s-pipe w/ a 3" strait pipe and gained 2mph at the track. I did not dyno it again, but I estimate that strait pipe gained me an additional 15rwhp. That would be before ANY computer tuning. On top of that all the modifications left to do was the p & p TB, MSD coil packs, 24lb injectors, and computer tuning. I would estimate an additional 25rwhp total. That would have put me at 240rwhp. That is right around Dominic's estimates. Pgriffith, you're prolly right. Since the dyno wasn't picking up a proper signal after 5200rpm, your dyno reading is not at peak hp. You were prolly closer to 200rwhp. Next time you dyno it, you'll also want to autotap it, to make sure you're not knocking and timing is not being retarded too much.
Good luck,
Royce

Nah,I had the 125 rwhp 3.4 I've only seen 4 or 5 dyno sheets from the 3.8's and they were all BONE STOCK not even a K&N panel filter. The hisghest numbers I saw were 156 rwhp. Not saying they all do that, just what I've seen.Cold air and a cat-back really make a big difference in numbers and it's hard to find a car on a dyno these days without at least that much done.
