  • Do i really neeed 24 LBS or not..

    Car is in the shop now. I was really thinking lately if i really need to put the 24 lt1 lbs injectors in or not, Or should i just use the stock 17 lbs.
    Mods are gonna be...
    *2030 Crane cam
    Forged .30 over Ross pistons
    *20% more flow melling oil pump
    block bored .30 over
    P&P heads 3 angle valve job
    P&P upper and lower intake
    *All Comp valvetrain parts Hardened Pushrods
    *1.6 Rockers
    *LT1 #24's
    100-150 wet kit
    10.1 compression
    *Pacesetter 3.4 Headers and Y pipe


    But i already have a 255 Walbro is that enough?

    It all makes those 17 lb/hr injectors look small @ stock fuel pressure.
    That fuel pump won't do any thing different untill you turn up the fuel pressure.
    What kind of porting job are your geting for your heads?
    That cam isn't that big so you might what to try uping your fuel pressure with stock injectors first and puting that fuel pump to work.
    I think you will be running real rich if you use those injectors.

      Thats what i was worried about, running too rich and not able to get it tuned. So you think it would be ok to run stock injectors and just bump the pressure up..
      they are doing a standard port job with 3 angle valve job.

        i'll trade you a set of 19# injectors from a 3400 for the 24 lb injectors

            Do you have new orings on yours?
            I have 8 24's... im sure you only have 6 19's right?I'll trade but getting them to you is gonna be the issue since i have no car and the 24's are at the shop..

                        i just did my cam swap and split ratio rocker arms on my ride and i put in the 24lbs wayyy too rich even with my fuel pressure down.... i tried it on just below 30 and its too rich i might lower it a bit but i had a rocker arm come loose in the shakedown runs of it so i gotta go back in and tighten things up
