Ok, well I've decided that I don't have enough for the Super Six package unfortunately. But, I would like to get a custom cam for the car that would offer decent gains (15-20 HP) without needing reprogramming or porting. Is this possible and what would be a good setup, a slightly choppy idle is ok as long as it's not extremely choppy or anything. Anybody?

Comp Cams 206/212 Cam. It's on www.grandprixstore.com somewhere, for the L36. Several use this on stock programming with no lights and have great results.

The main issue with making the idle lopey is making sure that your vacuum is pretty consistent. An idle that results in vacuum that jumps around too much will play all hell with the PCM, MAP sensor, power brakes, and anything else that uses vacuum for something.Wife and a dog, they both think they\'re Kujo.

1999 3.8 A4 Y87
Navy Blue Metallic
BFG G-Force KDWS 275/40/17s,
WS6 Wheels (17x9)
Phoenix Transmissions 2400 Stall Converter
FRA, Holley Powershot filter, Whisper Lid, Ported Throttlebody
2000 manifolds, Flowmaster, WS6 Tail Pipes,
MSD 8.5mm Wires, MSD Coils, Autolite plugs
Performance Cryogenics treated rotors
1LE Sway Bars and panhard rod, 1LE front springs w/SLP Bilsteins, stock rear springs w/ 3rd Gen Bilsteins, BMR STB, KBDD SFCs, 1LE rear lower control arms, 1LE front lower control arms
1968 Chevelle Malibu 327 TH350

With full intake and exhaust a simple cam swap to the 206/212 grind would put you at 250-280hp after 5,000RPM depending on how well the PCM copes air/fuel wise. The intake/heads are not necessarry for a n/a car and you would gain a lot of power by just the cam swap.
Best of luck.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro
