    ok i got done with my motor put it in its runnning but it doesnt go to an idle could it be cause of the rockers not being tightin down? i hear them clakin alot just wondering if that could be the cause?

    how exactly did you tighten them down? did you take your valve covers off to check up on them after you let it warm up and cool down?

      i just tightin them when i put the head on when i was buildin the motor and put the valve covers on

        Did you tighten them to specs? If not that may be why they are messed up. When the valves are fully seated(top dead center), Tighten rockers until pushrod play is gone, then tighten about another half turn. Repeat for each cylinders rockers.

          Do a compression check on all cylinders, If valves aren't seating, you'll know. After that, you may have to idle it up a bit assuming it isn't a mechanical problem.
