how hard would it be to swap an ls1 to a 3.8 i already have the 3.8 pulled outalong with the tranny so how hard would it be im thinking it would just be the wiring that could be tricky but other than that i found a great z28 parts car for 1500 and i was wondering if i had all the parts from it would it be much easier

It's best if the donor car is the same year. Then the wiring is a lot more straightforward.
I believe the biggest difference is between '98 and all the others.
Your v6 car will have a return line from the fuel rail, and the v8 fuel rail won't have a return.
You'll have to convert over to the v8 fuel system (pump/tank with no return line), or put a 97 'vette rail on it which has a return line and use your tank and pump. (but you'll probably want to upgrade the pump to a walbro anyway for volume)
You'll need the v8 tranny too, so it should be the same type (auto or manual) as your car. Same for the pcm, the tranny type should match.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next<br />v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock<br />v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp<br />Moderator on <a href=\"http://www.mtfba.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.mtfba.org</a> and <a href=\"http://www.frrax.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.frrax.com</a> (Road Race & Autocross)<br /><a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/johnduncan10\" target=\"_blank\">Car pics</a>, <a href=\"http://www.trscca.com\" target=\"_blank\">TN Region SCCA</a>

use a 99+ wiring harness and you will have 2 wires or so to modify. I believe I mentioned that in my web page.
