Feed it crackers and see if it still whistles :D Like everyone else said, you have a leak somewhere.

vaccum leak at the plenum (between the Y-shaped thing and the intake manifold)
i ripped that damn gasket so many times i cant even count. time to take it all apart again and fix the leak.
use some silicone (the High Temp RTV) if you cant get a new gasket from a GM Dealer. you can also get the gasket in an upper engine kit from like pepboys or autozone. it'll cost you more than just going to GM tho id think.
Use a vaccum cleaner hose or something similiar. Put one end up to your ear and the other move around the engine bay. Its the easiest way to find vaccum leaks.
I am confused....Did you take off your INTAKE? or did you take off the plumbing and filter, etc that leads up to your TB and then intake? If you actually pulled the upper intake (the big metal part), then yes check the gaskets for leaks...if you have the whistle after just removing the, let's say SLP cold air intake, then that's another(much easier) story.
