Lets talk about good tuning principals

So, Got all my HPtuners stuff together.. I mess with a few tables and paramaters that I felt comfertable with.

however I really have NO CLUE what to do with the big important tables..

I am pretty much only interested in info for FI cars.. but.. I think this shuld be left for open discussion about tuning in general..

We really need to get on this and start developing info.. if you go look over at the LS1 sites they have all sorts of crazy stuff.. these crazy formulas, excel spreadsheets that import log files and generate tunes.. all sorts of stuff..

so.. lets here it..

I am looking for beginner websites, formulas, principals ect..

I think that this is a good idea. I want to get the tuning software soon but I am complete retard when it comes to computers. reading HPtuners website confused me.

I also think this is a great idea. I also have the HP Tuners software and I'm new to computer tuning. This is definately a good idea and I believe one member of this site, Horist has a new page thats dedicated to HP Tuners tuning, the site is: http://www.horist.com/hptuner

Once we get a chance to use the program and experience what it feels like. We could possibly get the source code off the V8 guys and then change some varibles to match our V6's. If you could, post links for those programs that "create tunes" and things like that.

OK, I jsut got done reading the entire HPtuners help file..

thats a good palce to start too.. they use alot of acronyms that I kinda had to decode but its pretty infomative.. only thing is its missing descriptions for a few of the v6 exclusive tables..

honestly.. they way I see it.. alot of these tables are REALLLY easy to edit.. however the only one i still dont have the nerve to touch is the VE tables.. those scare me..
