Sorry dude the Intense Turbo car is running the stock crank.. In fact it's running the 8.0 to 1 shortblock from Intense... The stock crank will handle over 500 hp in stock form.

Which it will than then some.. No N/A 3800 will ever produce 500hp with a stock cam/injectors adn no tuning... ever.. in fact I don't think the 3800 series II is capable of producint 500hp even with extensive modifications in a normally aspirated state.

Even FI your not going to hit 500hp with stock cam and injectors regardless of how much tuning you do lol. IT WON"T HAPPEN.

thats y i siad i HOPE it can take more then 500

but dont forget the 8:1 C/R take some strain off the crank too but makes more power b/c you get more aire into the burn barrle cause of the dish in the piston

true but look at the cyc PSI for 8:1 @ 20PSI and 9.4:1 @14 PSI i better there close AND there's more air in the 8:1

No doubt. Thats why I put the J/k. You'll be making more hp with the same amount of stress on the crank.

i guees what im trying to say is 20 PSI would not be smart on the stock motor, Tiago maxed out rads car on only 15 PSI, 5 more pounds boost is ALOT MORE even with the fuel upgrades you would need like 130 octane gas IMO

The gas would prevent the engine from exploding (maybe) but it wouldn't prevent something cracking in half lol.

its mods are-42.5lb/hr Injectors, T-Rex fuel Pump, 550 x 300 x 75mm Front Mount Intercooler, 1.9:1 High ratio Roller Rockers. stock cam/not opened.

"This engine has not had an easy life"
                                - it started off factory supercharged m90 with anywhere from 6psi tp 14psi, then migrated to Vortech supercharged intercooled at 17psi, now turbo from 14 to 20psi boost
                                - it's done over 250 full dyno passes, to the point where the turbo manifolds have been glowing red hot enough to see through the pipes !!
                                - over 115 1/4mile passes
                                - it's been pinged, backfired, run lean, fouled plugs ... etc
                                - is daily driven and - given street work-outs
                                the good things are
                                - Always run on 98+RON BP Ultimate Premium
                                - Always run Castrol R Synthetic 10W/60 High Grade oil ($70 5L)
                                - Always careful about heavy gear downshifts (we don't downshift from 3rd to 1st, to try and nail someone)
Although it's hard a hard life, we know what are the wrong ways to treat an engine and gearbox, and this is what has kept it alive.
The engine has now done 116,000klms and it's celan as a whistle.
                                - doesn't burn or use any oil
                                - doesn't foul the water, still fluro green
                                - doesn't tick or rumble
                                - no signs of power loss
In essence what we are trying to imply, is we don't know how much longer it will last, but it hasn't shown any signs of fatigue, and doesn't look to be stopping anytime soon.
We usually run between 10 psi to 14psi on the street, as the extra is too much and wasted in wheelspin. If we kept going like this we feel we would never see the engine snap.
The engine will be broken at some time in the future, in the name of science, when we try 22psi to 25psi ... or who knows, if it stays together, we might have to try even harder !!
