• new Cam,3.42 Gears and PCM Reprogram

i've sent a couple of emails to Sales@zzperformance.com and zoom@zzperformance.com
regarding computer reprograming for my car. but nobody has answered them. so i was wonder if you guys know more people or companies that can do this kind of job. also how dificult is to remove the pcm out of the car and to put it in later. my car is almost ready. i spoke yesterday to my mechanic and told him to install the comp cam 200/206 .496 .480 112 part# 76-801-9. also
new valve springs part # 26918-12 and retainers part# 774-12. i know is a small cam, but i believe dominic or maguns recomended this cam in one of my posts. i didn't want to get a hard chop though cause still is a v6 . anyways i was looking to get my pcm reprogramed for this changes. but i didn't have any luck with zzperformance. so i don't know if i should just try a chevy dealer and try to get the pcm reflashed at least for the gears, or get a custom reprogram for the cam and the gears. also my car would be ready in 2 weeks. i'll try to get her dynoed to see the gains.
i didn't want to go and spend more money on my car becuase i want to sell it and get the v8, but oh well,at least i would drive her for a few months so i can enjoy the money i've spend on it.

so i would appreciate any inputs

thanks

ZZP does mail order tuning through another company. With that cam you shouldn't need any tuning.

But if you want your pcm changed for 3.42s and stuff like your speed limiter removed they can do that.

Just my 2 cents but no reason to waste 300+ bones for a few small pcm changes. Just get a little speedo corrector box. BTW I'm interested in how that cam runs.

Wow, thats a pretty small cam. Will there be any significant gains from that?

Also why dont you guys try to CALL them?

could you point at that speedo corrector box??? is like the one that slp sells???. i was using the search function long time ago and a lot of people said is a waste of money, some others said to try the jetchip and then others said is a waste of money too. so i'm stuck in it with my gears .
i mean they are great taking off but is just that i hate to get the rev limiter cuting off the power when my speedo is reading 110 mph and i'm not even doing 110 i think is like 97.i know this topic has been discussed here to death, but i would appreciate your comments cause i don't want to be spending more money :( . i know there is one from slp and another jet. i'm looking for a device that can take off the rev limiter. i don't care about odometer or speedometer readings. do we have an option like that???

also i will post dyno numbers, and sound clip. i just got my laptop like a month ago so now i can play with the sound recorder

i would call them , but there is not phone number listed on their website.

also i decided to go with this one cause i didn't want to get something that chop hard.so regarding power gains i have no idea. i'll try it and see for myself. i know we have the gt one, but i think the chop on this one would be to much for me. is not that i don't like a choppy one, actually i've heard the ones posted in the forum, and they sound really good, but is not for me.

but thanks anyways.
i'll post dyno numbers for all of you guys.

thanks

I got my pcm taken care of...no problem. Try Zooomer@aol.com

I always got a reply back within 24 hours.

Do not go the cheap route! If you really need this done, this is the way to go. There are no other real options until magnus an company finish their project. Its a lot of money, but atleast you can feel secure with them workin on it. They may outsource, but unless you have dave's direct contact info, this is the only way to go. Its all about the contacts you have.

Yes, Stay as far as possible AWAY from Zoomer. He is a scam artist. Do a search for the problems I had with him.
