  • Need advice on the setup...

    I just bought my Comp Cam w/ 120* LSA. I plan on Comp Hydraulic lifters, new rods (Comp I guess) and possibly anything else worn in the valvetrain. I do NOT want to run new rocker arms. I will switch to a hotter plug as well. Since this is a mid-high end cam I figured a 3.73 gear ratio would go with it. What are your thought on building and appropriate driveline to complement each mod. Thanks.

    120*? What kind of duration and lift? That's pretty much unheard of, even stock cams don't have that kind of LSA.

      Ahh, sorry guys. 112* LSA, Duration @ .050, intake 226* exhaust 236*, valve lift w/1.5 rockers - intake .463 -exhaust .474. Sorry for the confusion.

          Well it depends on hopw much money you can dish out and if youre going for performance. i would get some heads and cam if i had the money.

              That sounds like too much cam for stock heads....I would do a 5 angle valve job and some porting if I was doing it on a 4thgen...engine bay is cramped as helll...You might as well pull the motor out to make it easier ( I would ). If I hada 4thgen, EVERY mod would be engine outside of car (especially changing injectors!). [img]smile.gif[/img]
