whats up guys i need a little info on our stock pistons. first off i plan on replacing them check them out here http://www.flatlanderracing.com/index.html the problem is i am not sure if our engine is the 229 or 231 ci the site says the 231 pistons are 3.8" bore whereas the 229 Ci are 3.736" bore. the one that are the 231 are for buick engines and the 229 arte chevy v6's please someone clear this up for me whats going on.

    Bore is 96.52 mm = 3.799989 in.
I'm not an expert on the bottom end of our engines, so I don't know if those will work or not. I do know there are other sites that deal specifically with our engines, such as Intense, 3800 Performance, etc.

        The 3.8 = Buick engine. It is a 231ci.

I thought you were refering to the intense pistons that you could get cheaper. Sorry but at that price its not steep! You can get L32 rods for $230 online, combine that with the pistons and you have a forged rod and piston set for less than these places sell the pistons alone.
Sorry not sure where to get cheap stock ones though.
