I posted about this on www.clubgp.com; I needed to know what the intake manifold(s) on an L67 looked like, and where the throttle body is located. This is for a project that I am planning, and I have to use an L67 top end to get this to work right. I know that there are a few members around here that drive GTP's and such, so any info about what it looks like and where exactly the TB is would be appreciated.

Intake Manifold(s) for an L67

Another term for the L67 intake manifold is:
Eaton M90 roots supercharger.
The throttle body is on the back side of the blower, not on the side with the belt.
The L67 also has different cylinder heads. It has injector bosses in the heads, not the intake manifold.1999 red camaro v6 M5: with a turbo
13.52@107.99
No, seriously: Who Farted?
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/600086

i looked into doing this swap a couple months ago. you can't do the swap without a) moving the TB, or b) cutting your firewall. here's an email i sent to another member on this board, who helped me out with this topic.
.
.
.
"today i got some pipes bent up for moving the tb. i used some 3/32" steel pipe
with an inner diameter 2-7/8"...that's the closest i could find to the l67 tb ID.
(69mm i think)
i couldn't get the bends to not crush on the inside radii. i bent it to the
radii (two bends) i wanted, but when i checked the ID, it was all screwy in the bends (bigger, smaller, oval, round etc) not smooth at all. so i
brought my pipe to a shop called BendAll, and they told me they couldn't do it with 3/32" while keeping the ID the same throughout the pipe. they >could< do it with thinner piping though. they said my best bet was to get a casting made.
so i don't really want to go thinner than 3/32, 'cause there would have to
be flanges welded on both ends, with one end attached (and supporting) the TB...i'm leery to go with only 3/32...i'd prefer 1/8. i could maybe rig up some other method for supporting the tb tho.
i have no idea how much a custom casting would cost to make, but i doubt it's gonna be very cheap.... :-| & i don't want to cut my firewall...not until the warranty on the car is done, at least
oh, my 2002 hood will clear no problems. the only other tight spot is between the hood & the windshield. under that little section is a little bit of sheet metal that hangs down. the l67 will clear, but one might not be
able to run with that plastic "supercharged" cover covering the engine."
.
.
.
i did go & get a price on the casting, and they told me it'd be "about $2000" to manufacture. that's in canadian dollars btw. i dunno maybe you could get a plastic one made up for cheaper?? if it was plastic you'd have to mount the TB solidly somewhere else, which would prolly mean drilling holes somewhere to attach a bracket which would support the TB.
i don't want to cut my firewall, or drill holes, so i abandoned this idea. for the about $3000 this project would cost, i'd rather put that money towards an ls1 swap.
another thing i don't know about, but you'd want to think about, is the effects of moving the TB. the vacuum would remain the same regardless of where the TB is, but i'd >think< throttle response would suffer, although i really have no idea.
but if you're willing to cut the firewall, you won't have any TB problems. the hole would have to be approx 6x6".
also you can't use an l36 pcm to run a l67 setup--even if you just change the intakes, the fuel tables are different. due to the s/c. you have to use the l67 pcm, or get your l36 reprogrammed for like $400usd. since all l67 powered cars are automatic, you'll run into issues with shift points on an auto, and other issues if you have a t5--you have to fool the pcm into thinking that it's always in drive. all these issues can be cleared up tho, but it'll take time & research. the guys at www.clubgp.com can help you, as well as the guys at www.l67swap.com.
the block will bolt up to your tranny no probs.
whew that's a lotta typin'. anyone correct me if i'm wrong about anything

I think what Mogobs is asking is for pics of the base manifold that the Eaton goes on.1978 Formula 461 in progress of being built
