Does anyone know what needs to been done to these rods so they will work with the Intense pistons(9.5:1). I'm ordering the rods and I wanted to know so I can tell the machine shop what to do.

Yes you need to talk about 1.5MM off the top edge of the wrist pin area to keep correct tolerances between the INTENSE forged pistons.

GTPprix, what bolts did you use for the connecting rods,L67 or the ones from Intense. Also is their any problems using factory bolts?08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

The factory bolts on the L32 rods are captured into the rod cap, rather than screw around with them and given the lack of failures of stock rod cap bolts I just left them alone. Now if i was using L67/36 rods I would have most definately used ARP bolts from INTENSE.Chris White
1989 Turbo Trans Am #70
2004 GTO - Procharged
2005 G6
2005 Equinox LT AWD

That makes sense and also saves me some money. Also today I received the lightweight pushrods, hydraulis roller lifters, main and rod bearings. All I need now is the L32 rods and then it is time to rebuild the engine. The only other question I had was about the valve springs. Should I leave them stock or go with the comp cams 105. My cam is the VS cam from zzperformance 206/216 115ls. What do you think?08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

While the VS cam is just that, Valve Safe while your in there I would definately recommend the 105lbs springs part#26915-12 for almost everyone especially with the upgraded lifters. This will extend your redline quite a ways, I'm assuming your ditching the balance shaft anyway when they balancer your crank for the new pistons and rods anyhow?Chris White
1989 Turbo Trans Am #70
2004 GTO - Procharged
2005 G6
2005 Equinox LT AWD

I really didn't think about that. What would they need to do?08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

You need to get a 50% balance on the rotating assembly (since your balancing it for the new rods and pistons anyhow its a no brainer) including the balancer, flex plate/flywheel then remove the balance shaft and plug the oil supply hole in the back of the block behind the rear cover. It SHOULD free up about 15 or so horse (possibly more) from rotating mass. Another plus is the thing will spin up to 7 Grand like no ones business lol.
