• So how much control does the IAT have over the timing?

I know all the tricks and what not with resitors and stuff.

But jsut wondering what is the limit of control the IAT will have on the timing. In the end can it only affect the timing by like 1 degree of advance? Or does it reach as far as say 5-6 degrees if say it read the intake air as 0* C?

I was just wondering about this the other day. For the power adder guys out there, would it be feasible to use the AIT in the opposite way than usualy...ie: instead of making it think it's colder than it is to advance timing, could be make it think it's hotter than it is to retard the timing a degree or so? Any other negative effects if this would work for us?

So is it able to retard the timing? because 1-2 degrees when I'm spraying a 100 shot would be nice, and this would be cheap!

Cool, I think I heard that back in the day...

Was thinking if I could do something cool with IAT sensor, some water nad an Ice tray
:D

Since I do not have a timing reatard module on my supercharger setup, I just put the IAT with the pressurized air- this way, it reads that very hot air is coming in, and I'm hoping that it gives some retard. If anybody in the Indiana area has a scan tool, we can check it on my car

I don't see why you couldn't. Just find the resitance level for the temperature you want.
