I set mine to 93, for advanced timing reasons

I have mine set to 87, it made a noticeable increase. I won't try 93 until I can prove its a lot better than the 87 tuning on the dyno or at the track.

According to hypertech's dyno, the 93 is only like a 1-2hp gain over the 87 tuning... not worth the $0.20 increase in fuel per gallon IMO if thats the case.

what was the gain like dominic? i plan on getting it to adjust the speedo b/c of gear change and new wheels, but i was hoping to also see a little bit of power from the 87 octane tuning. thanks

I havent track tested it or anything but it does seem to pull through the gears faster. If you read some of my posts in general tech you'll get a better idea.

I like the programming, it seems stouter and peppier with it. Ive purposely programmed it stock and then back programmed a number of times to see if I could tell a difference and its noticeable but nothing outrageous. Highway interstate pulling is about the most noticeable one I've found when I ran a few 60+mph pulls against my friend in his Acura TL

Im sure with full exhaust it would be far more noticeable, programming cant compensate much for a 2.25" exhaust constriction :D
