Obviously the engine and the ram air hood...8 being in the trans am 6 being in the firebird...If I were to put swap out the 6 in my firebird and put ina 8 what would I be missing from a trans am besides the badges and spoiler? im not too crazy about the spoiler anyway...and Would it be worth it to drop the 8 into my car or just save for a trans am? my firebird is in pretty good condition 55k miles.

Save for a trans-am or formula, or put a big block in your current car. Swapping to a LS1 doesnt make any sense to me. To much effort when a V8 Fbody can easily be bought.2000 Sebring Silver Z28 M6
Jet-hot lt\'s,!cats, Hooker aerochamber,slp cai,mti lid, slp ss hood-spoiler-cme,eibach springs,bmr control arms & relo. brackets,bmr adj. phb,slp sfc\'s & stb,b&m ripper,Z06 wheels, Nitto 555\'s, and much more

besides the badges and spoiler... front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts (i think), TA's have different suspension and exhaust if i'm not mistaken. there's a lot more than the engine and spoiler ;) . btw, the ram air hood isn't something on all TA's. it was on the WS6 models.1996 Pontiac Firebird
Black, 3.8L A4

You dont plan on making a replicated TransAm RamAir and selling it as that, do you? Don't mod your car to look like a Trans Am, the conversion price is very high and you'll still know deep down it's NOT a real Trans Am... So do yourself a favor and go buy a used one that's still in good shape and ride with pride! Although the V6 community is getting faster and more respectable all the time... so you could stick it out here with us too!2002 Black Firebird:
A4, Y87, W68, T-tops
Best NA ET: 15.16 @ 90
http://members.cardomain.com/darksde02

The motor swap is very hard. You need the engine, transmision, wiring harness, and PCM. Just go buy a TA.2001 Firebird 3.8L V6 M5,
It once had....
NX Nitrous Wet Kit, ZZP X-P Hot Cam,
3.42 LSD, Pacesetter Headers,
36# Injectors, HP Tuners
322 RWHP, 379 RWTQ
13.596 @ 102.56 w/100 shot

I say stick with the sixer. Hell, everybody knows that V8's run fast anyway. When you take a V6 and make it run with the V8's, then you've accomplished something, my friend.
How did this get into advanced tech anyway? This should be in the lounge or something.2000 3.8L Firebird, Silver Metallic

\"Yes, London. You know, fish, chips, cup o\' tea, bad food, worse weather, Mary f***in\' Poppins, London!!\"
