who has swapped engines?

I am just looking for someone who has taken out the 3800 II series engine and slapped in a 98+ 5.7L LS1 into their 97 V-6. i need to email ya or need to know what i need to get as in a complete engine. as in do i pull out everything attached to the engine or just the engine and use what i already have under my hood? because i found a 2000 Z28 that was smashed on the side, and im pulling th axle out and the engine all for $500. the engine has only 36k miles on it. i think its a great deal. but i dont really know what all i need to pull from it. the only catch is that i have to pull the engine myself... but its all i can carry basically. do i also pull the Computer out while im at it? I've done a search on engine swaps and found notta.

That's a long thread posted by magnus that details things to be done, there is another one posted by nino that lists everything he needed and prices and such.

Can also go to speedautomotive website, Tacreationsusa.com. Search resulted in too many to list for me. Type in ls1 swap or v8 swap.
