Okay my car is throwing no Check engine light. but has this code in the system under history and current

PCM did not detect any cam reference pulses for 3 seconds while engine was running.
Now if the car is running and i clear the code the code comes right back.
now if i turn the key on the erase the code it stays away and doesnt come back until i start the car.
Now it never threw a check engine light UNtil i went 45-75 to merge on the highway a few seconds after i llet off it threw a check engine light. I stopped when i got off the highway and turned the car off, it hasnt come back since. I have no idea if the code from the highway to set the light off was the same one of not. I go to work in a few hours and it will tell me the history of codes
Could the bigger cam be doing this?
