  • Time for a rebuild

    well,
    since i lost compression in the rear left bank of my engine, i decided to rebuild it with some good performance parts. i found that site that has the performance parts for the 3.4 v6 and it has a lot of good products, but i was just wondering what you guys recommend for some upgrades?

    i've thought of:

    polished intake, tb, heads
    pacesetter headers
    roller rockers
    roller cams
    machined pistons
    machined rods
    high performance fuel/oil/water pumps

    not all final decisions

    what do you guys think?

    you cant do a roller camshaft.

    I thought about this, and called Crane Cams looking for a roller cam. they gave me a part # with a warning, if you use this cam we wont warranty it or give you any kind of support..

    i said why, and they replied, cause we put roller lifters in a RWD 60* block, and everytime we installed them, they would fail about 4500 miles later. (Fail as in break)

    bad oiling system in the 60* motors. as far as i can tell, the block just isnt set up for a roller cam, the oil gallies for the lifters are in the wrong place, so the wrong part gets oiled or something like that. you can email crane and ask them. just make sure you mention that its a RWD motor from a f-body and not the Grand Am.
