Ok, we know that with the Multec 2's there's no drop-in replacement. Here's my thought on a minimally invasive setup to upgrade the injectors in a safe manner without permanent changes.
1. Get the Delphi FJ10471 (search for part #) 37 lb/hr injectors. These seem to be about the only other Multec 2 injector out there. Elecrical connection is the same, but we're moving from long to mini body style. Same ends, but ~20 mm shorter body
2. ZZP Injector spacers. The 1" spacers are a bit longer than we need. So we need to raise the fuel rail by 5 mm to match. We just cut the fuel rail standoffs supplied by ZZP or add a few washers under each rail bracket to lift the bracket to match.
It's some extra money, but we avoid any cutting, bending, wire splicing, or other permanent mod of either the fuel rail or the injector wiring harness.
Any feedback on this?
