• Accel 21 Lb Injectors or 24 Lb for stock heads/cam??

I know this has been discussed to death but I couldn't find an answer in the search. I'm swapping in a new engine and need to replace my current injectors (have 115K miles on them). Stock replacements are freaking $60 a pop from gmpartsdirect whereas I can get 8 new Accel 21 Lb injectors for $238 from summit (8 injectors = 6 plus two spares just in case or I could get 8 Accel 24 Lb Injectors for the same $238. Which should I get? Oh, and I will have an Autotap and a Mini-AFC 1.0 by the time the injectors are here so I could tune the 24 lb'rs, but would the 21 lb'rs be better??

I'd go ahead and get the 24's.

24 lb'ers... i ran them and they worked great

I'd try to find a used set though or perhaps some LT1 or LS1 stock injectors.

i thought the accel injectors didn't have a great spray pattern when compared to GM or Ford SVO injectors?

Yea, which makes it hard to tune at higher levels.

Accells are pintle style. A 24lber though shouldn't be a problem.

The mini-afc is supposed to be able to tune from 10% to 255% on the fuel curve and with the autotap I should be able to adjust it to a very acceptable base and WOT setting right? I don't want to have a problem i cant fix. Also, the mini-afc does not change timing but i assume this is not a problem.

would you just be able to get some used l67 36lb/hr (i think) injectors, then lean it out with your afc? they're always for sale on www.clubgp.com. i just dunno if the afc/maft would be able to lean it out enough???
