i dotn know exactly where this goes, but i work for a company and i can get a corvette ZR1 engine or just a 87 350. does anyone know if a ZR1 will fit in my 96 camaro RS. and someone told me that the frame will not hold all around it. can anyone help me on this.... thanks

its out of the performance c4's it has a 32 valve heads and rev up to 7k
the motor is sweet to make power with because of the heads but its a real expensive engin i think most are like 14K used
also it might should fit but aloooot of custom work would have to be put into it to get it to work you gotta think about engin harness too
ive heard of a 900 hp n/a motor but again parts for that engin are so expensive
if your gonna swap swap a ls1 sooooooooooooo much easyer and would be alot cheaper then the zr1

It's called an LT5. As a bit of trivia, the last LT5 motors were made in November of 1993... the last model year of the ZR1 was 1995.
The LT5 is a pretty big motor. The DOHC added a lot of size. Anyway, it might fit if you get creative.
EDIT: I forgot to mention some things. The LT5 had a pretty sofisticated electronic control. Variable power settings, adn the valet key that limited it to 250HP in low RPM operation... Even if you do get it to physically fit, which I think would be pretty hard, you'd have to be able to control it. It would be much easier to build a powerful LSX... especially in a few years since the Gen IV is supposed to have 3V heads that will bolt up to LS1's and LS6's...

LT5's are REALLY hard to find. If you could get a good deal on one you'd be really lucky. The LT5, IMO, is probably the best motor that Chevy ever made. If you have the money and the time it would a very unique modification. You may even want to look into buying a used C4 vette and swapping it in.

the swap would be very hard.
GM had a 3rd gen TT test car, so it should be able to fit between the fenders.
But the engine comtrol system is VERY unique, 16 injectors... just to start.
if you really have access to one, get it, sell it, and do a LS1/6 swap.
you will have enough $$ to do that, as the LT5's sell for a good chunk of change.

Mercurio S&M made the LT5 engine2011 Camaro LS 6M, in black.

My bad, I knew they were made by Mercury Marine so I don't really know why I put that. I should've said "IMO, it's the best motor GM ever put in a car." BTW, if you're going to correct someone make sure there's no typos in your post; that just leads to more confusion.
