curious of what you guys think this build up would perform like. i was looking at the 4.1 stroker, a stage 3 gt cam from zzp, and pnp heads and intake from abbott. the compression would be at about 10.2:1 and all other parts would be stock (including pistons and valvetrain). its not much (parts wise anyway) but i think it would be good for at least 280whp. do you think this build up would be worth while or no?

Personally i don't think its worth the money for the power you from it..... and fully rebiulding the motor and not making it stronger. you can't add nos and only small small amount of boost later down ther road if you want more power.....
valvetrain: there no way you can leave it stock with that cam.... you would at least have to get springs.

yeah i know i would need 105# springs from what zoomer was saying and the modded retainers to give more clearance. if i do this then nitrous and boost would be a no go. also i gave up on the twin setup because the turbos i wanted to use are to hard to find now and i got rid of the ones i had. no way am i going to go through the pain of finding those again. i would think that it would be possible to get 300whp out of a fully built na 3800 with the stroker and that would be enough for me. with the fact that FI is not going to ever be used what would your opinions be.

the 4.1 stroker kit sounds good but at being weaker then stock on the bottom i dont think its worth it. If you do all that and the 4.1 stroker kit your done. Theres nothing else you can add on down the road. I say forged bottom end would be safer stronger and with future upgrade capability's would turn me on alot more then the weak stroker kit.
i dont think its streangth will become a factor with me only aiming at 300whp since it broke at close 400whp. besides weaker than stock means less than 600hp which is insanely strong and i will never get past half that #. now lets look at what zzp advertises for expected gains for each product. they say the stroker kit alone gives 240whp (im assuming thats for fwd not rwd so lets say 230). the gt3 cam is suppose to give 30-40hp gains again we will go low and use the 30hp rating. the zzp stage 2 heads are suppose to give 20 hp so i would guess the abbott heads and intake to give at least this. now the cynergy of these products would probably give gains also but i will leave that out of my addition. so lets see we start at 230 with the stroker, add 30 for the cam and then 20 for the heads and intake and we get 280whp. now i dont know how realistic zzp's #'s are but if they are true then i think i could sqeeze an extra 20hp out of it through headers with 2 2.5" cutouts right after them, a complete valvetrain upgrade, and better intake... or i could just bore it 20 over along with the stroker and 300hp would be no problem in my mind. i guess the only way we will know is for one of us to try it. anyway its what im researching righ now as an alternative to the turbo. more oppinions would still be appreciated though. keep in mind 300whp is all im looking for NOTHING MORE.

I'm looking for about the same too... well, maybee 400 at the tops. Trying to decide whether I should do a V8 swap or the stroker kit.
well i got more info on this system and basically zoomer said that it would only make 250whp. not to impressive imo. i'm sticking with the turbo rout. if the forged system were cheaper i would go for it on top of the turbo but 4500 is to much for me.

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
