I've seen some people upgrading to 1.7 and 1.8 roller rockers... I was wondering what kind of gains I can get keeping the stock camshaft and if there have been any problems going as high as 1.8? I am just looking to do something simple...
Any reccomendations are appreciated... and how streetable is a 3.8 with 1.8 rockers?
Thanks

well, from what i read in GM high tech performance, they did the SLP roller rocker swap and got 10hp from it. after pcm tuning, i think they found another 5hp. and all the 3.4 had on it was exhause and intake mods. ive been debating on wether to get em or not also. ammperformance.com has the set for $520, and that seems kinda steep to me. $520 for 10hp, ill keep thinkin about it. but the install was simple, and they said it dosent have any bad effects from doing the swap. i think if i got em, id have to get a perfomance valve job to complement the new 1.8s. well, i hope this helped.

There's got to be something cheaper... I was looking at sets that were $150 for V8's... Isn't there a comparable V8 that I can get them for and just not use 2?
If I get the right camshaft there is no need for the 1.8's I take it...

Our stock rockers are 1.6 and ls1 rockers don't work for us. And yes stepping up to 1.8 rockers would present no drivability issues with a stock cam.

Hello every one, ozzy here ive been looking at this page for weeks now finally joined. So my question is why is it that every turbo build forum just ends...
Just ordered some Toyo 315/35/17 tires for my 17x11 rims. Hopefully I can get them on the beginning of next year. Will post pics.
