I HAVE seen a 572 in a 4th gen Camaro. Not sure what year it was, but it was early 4th gen style (93-97). I'm not sure it would cost you anywhere near the 40k range but it sure wouldn't be cheap... I bet it could be done for less than 20k though.

The motor is like $10,000 isnt it, assuming he'll want bigger heads, bigger cam.
I'd say minimum of $20,000. Custom work can get really expensive and it would take some creativity to get it in there.
You'll need a 9 in or a 12 bolt. $3,000 range. Tranny that will hold up, another $3,000 min. All the suspension, sub frames, LCA's, everything or it will bend the **** out of that chassis.
You'll look at $18,000 or so just in parts alone I'd say. Then tack the labor on top I wouldnt want to imagine. That work is expensive. Hell, most shops want $800 to change head gaskets, I'd hate to see the bill for building a custom sub frame to fit in a 572.
Some shop will have to do some major fabricating, that will cost some money.
If youre serious call up hardcore racing (810) 787-2960, read in camaro performers they can do anything.
Why not set up a 408 stroker with a couple turbo's whistling some music if you have the money?2001 V6 Camaro - VTEC Badged, Abbott Racing Heads Sticker, and Loud A$$ Exhaust

BUILT NOT BOUGHT

14.0 @ 96.44 MPH (Street Tires, Before Tranny)

http://members.cardomain.com/6pakcamaro54
