what size injectors would i need to support a 100 - 125 dry shot with 6 psi??..would i really need 30# or would that be overkill? ..also..i wanted to double check on the table i modify in HP Tuners for new injectors..is it just the flow rate table that currently says 22.18? ..thanks!
yea i believe z28 injectors do work in our v6s. Someone here will be able to confirm that for ya though, but I am almost positive I read somewhere of people putting ls1 injectors into their cars.
sweet..i saw a set of 36# on ebay..is that too much though?..i dont want to be working the stock pump too hard daily driving..i want to support my application..but i dont wanna go overkill either
did some searching on here, LS1 injectors will NOT work for ya because the adapter is different and would need to be rewired to make them work. LT1 injectors however are just plug and play for our cars. Maybe you can find some LT1 injectors for your car instead.
Some links to injectors for ya, maybe PM GTPmorad from the first link.
http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...anguage=single (GTPmorad from this thread who is selling the stuff, I have bought stuff from him before. Good guy with a ton of grand prix's that he parts out. I think he owns a junk yard or something cuz he can get like anything)
sweeeeeeeet..i saw some 30# injectors on there..what would be better for my app?..30# or 36#?..or would it not really make that much a difference?
well considering that our stockers are 22#, I would think 30# would be enough for ya, at least with the supercharger.
Once you get direct ported nitrous on your car you won't need the injectors to be pumping as much fuel either. So after the direct port then only power adder using the injectors would be the supercharger.
I dunno, I would think 30# would be enough with the tuning (also harder to tune with bigger injectors). John_D ran 24# injectors with his setup back in the day using a MAFT to adjust for the injectors.
Maybe someone else can give ya some pointers between 30# and 36# injectors.
So when you gonna get some things P&P instead of switching power adders?
sweeeeet..i'll just get 30# then..cuz you're right once i switch to direct port it wont matter..the stock ones are fine for only 6 psi..i dunno if im going to get any P&P parts..i kinda like running on a stock engine..i mean the forged parts are there but nothing that adds power..guys sometimes ask me at the track if im running on a stock motor and itscool to be able to say yes..and im not really switching power adders..im just adding one....again :D
update -- i really like going through summit..the 30# injectors they had there that i wanted wouldnt be in until february..so i bought a set of 32#..along with a boost gauge..i also heard from HP Tuners who confirmed i was recalibrating correctly..that'll do it ..uhhgg now i gotta put all this crap in
I bought a set of used GTP 36 pound injectors for 40 bucks shipped. They usually go for around that price. I would be carefull using injectors nobody else has used, some have different spray patterns that cause the engine to run rough. They are also different kinds of electrical connectors. I would get GTP injectors if I were you.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
