does anyone know anything about this? i saw it on extreme 4x4 on spike and on the SEMA show on speed today. it looks awesome. its a touch screen monitor thats like the Gtech i.e. 0-6, 1/8, 1/4 it even calculates horsepower and torque and graphs it and u can print out the graphs also it runs codes on you pcm and has all the tuning capabilities of the hypertech power programmer
does anyone know anything about when it comes out, cost, or if they make it for our car?
Not everyone is going to have a laptop to use HP Tuners or other software with. You can't forget the cost of the equipment and cables with the software.
G-Tech Pro doesn't plug into the data port, correct? So the PowerPac should be much more accurate, being that it's pulling all the data from the PCM. (speed, rpm, etc.)
Also, PCM scanners that can display and record a live data stream start around $500. Add to that the functions of a HPP3 and an accurate performance calculator and I'd say you've got a handy little product that is probably priced right for what it does.

All cables and equipment (besides laptop) is included with both HP Tuners and DHP.

I'd have to see that scanner. Must be really cheap for that price. Every other scanner I've seen is several hundred at least. I'm not talking about the simple code readers.
Not sure what you're saying is incorrect ATGNAG. I have a G-Tech. It uses an internal sensor to determine vehicle speed, rpm, etc. The Hypertech gets this information from the PCM.
For that kind of money I can see some people would want the more advanced features of tuning software and for them this wouldn't cut it.
But I bet there's a market for this... an easy to use, simple all-in-one device that fits in the palm of your hand.
Performance calculations would not be estimates if it's reading the data directly from the PCM. Unless you changed tire size or gear ratio and didn't use the thing to update the PCM.
I dunno, it might seem a little pricey, but consider what all it does. They can probably make these for any car they currently offer the HPP3 for.

no.. they would be estimates.. think of variables like wheel spin a clutch slippage.. even if you got the speed from the pcm it would not be 100% correct regardless..
thus it will screw up all the numbers.. it is probably more accurate then a g-tech.. but.. its never as good as going to an acctual track..
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
