• More mods to my car =D

ok guys, Im debating on either spending all my money on a nitrous set up or getting a cam shaft and some pullies.

I barely know anything about cam shafts except what they do, but when it comes down to intake and exhaust duration Im more lost then a white kid in compton.

With my currents mods in my sig which camshaft would work best for me? They are all Comp Cams Roller Hydraulic camshafts

    Duration (Intake/Exhaust): 192°/200° @ .050"

    Valve Lift (w/1.66 Rocker): .480"/.496"

    Lobe Sep. Angle: 110°

    or

    Duration (Intake/Exhaust): 200°/206° @ .050"

    Valve Lift (w/1.66 Rocker): .496"/.480"

    Lobe Sep. Angle: 112°

    and finally

    Duration (Intake/Exhaust): 210°/220° @ .050"

    Valve Lift (w/1.66 Rocker): .512"/.512"

    Lobe Sep. Angle: 115°

I have no idea which one to get. Or what difference they would make if someone can pleeasse tell me which one would work out best for me would be great.

if you have no idea about cams, i wouldnt buy one. the first one is just like the stocker, waste of money. second is a waste also. third may be alright. custom grinds are the way to go...

Definitely! If you can't pick one based on the specs alone, it's my opinion that you shouldn't consider a cam. Personally, I don't think you should even get one if you couldn't install it yourself.

If you're really set on it, start on the sticky at the top. It's got alot of reading material to help you learn, as well as some different cams to choose from.

Note that all of those cams suck. They use 1.66:1 ratio, which means they're all actually under .500" lift at 1.6.

As per the sticky, I'm locking this thread.

        Good luck.
