from what little ive seen/heard about dhp's tuner hptuners has a leg up on it...not knocking dhp's stuff because yes they have been out longer and longer then anyone as far as v6 stuff goes BUT with hptuners you:
1.Can order more then 1 vehicle year DHP aparently does not offer this yet
2.Supports 4 inputs 2 outputs for egt, fuel pressure, wideband o2 sensor, nitrous triggers
3.You get 2 cars for your initial purchase
4.Not sure if dhp offers bi directional controls like hptuners
5.And 99% of the stuff hptuners didnt offer for v6 tuning when dhp put up the comparison they now offer and then some.

For the avg person who only wants to tune their car and their buddy with the same year/make/model/engine dhp is fine but for someone who wants to help out a club hes in or make money on the side or be able to log your a/f via a wideband without haveing to look at a box constantly hptuners is the way to go IMHO.

Not only did you bring that back up to the top after it was pretty much dead, you also posted completely wrong info. If you're gonna bash a product, at least do some research to see what they offer first.

DHP offers multi vehicle and 2 when you purchase it just like HP tuners. DHP has a option for the analog to digital converter for 3 inputs, no outputs like HP tuners. The inputs are the important part(wideband).

"The Personal Edition of the Powrtuner has a retail price of $399. Your tuner will be "locked" to your specific year and engine type. AT a later date it will be possible to add on more support to the cable. Unfortunately we have not worked out a pricing structure for this but we will update this as soon as we determine it."

this is from their site which i looked over before posting as to get the info right...notice dhp's site doesnt however have hptuners info right as its way out of date. I also didnt see anything about optional inputs.

sounds like a great deal...ive asked a few questions in that thread at the end just to clarify some things for myself but 2 cars for $325 sounds like a great deal IMHO.

Also, if you look on GlubGP's tuning section on their forum, alot of people there have it and really like it. Many of them say it's better than HP Tuners. ;)

the only problem that i wouldve forsaw for myself is that they currently offer no ls1 tuning for fbodies, vettes, gto's...also it doesnt offer vcm controls as of yet according to the instruction pdf...otherwise it looks like another very good tuning tool that will fit a huge niche with the v6 crowd...id still like to know how many cars you can add on...i have 4 on my hptuners cable and can add as many as i want with no issues via email which usually takes 10 mins to 24hrs to get the new exe file.

Yeah, DHPs website is out of date. I am not sure if there is a limit to how many cars. They will have V8s available. One of the reasons I plan on getting the powertuner is because they specialize in the 3800. Their tuner for the 3800 will probably be their best with most options and perameters. I have noticed HP tuners lack of updates for the V6s. If I had an LS1, I would probably get HP tuners.

id like to know what parameters dhp has in advantage to hptuners as well...the only things that i could see them having an advantage with is idle but who knows if thats even possible...i think hptuners basically just has idle speed but no iac adjustments or such. As far as fueling and spark i cant see dhp having anything in addition that would make a world of difference...again just speculation.

They are probable very similar at this time, I think DHP will pull ahead in the future for the v6s. They both already have everything that is really needed.

</font>
if they can find a way to add several vehicles to one unit 8+ since thats how many efi live offers and keep the price relatively inexpensive ~$100-200 per year it would be worth it maybe even for me but if i have to buy 2,3 or 4 units just to have a good handful of v6's thats not a good plan necessarily but from the sounds of it otherwise like i said it sounds very competetive.
