If i use the DOHC pistons with the valve reliefs... do the valve reliefs line up or are they perpendicular due to them being made for the DOHC head? Just a question, because then the valve reliefs would be almost worthless wouldnt they? Well i like the compression ratio that they would give me and the price is right for a small upgrade...... im just not sure if it will be a little bit ghetto or not... I could go forged but for the money i could get more parts and this is a NA motor so i dont think it matters much even though forged would be lighter... anyways some input from Wolf would be appreciated or someone who has experience with them. Thanks again,
Dakota

what engine r u talking about, first off. second, how do u know that those pistons will fit in ur bores and on the connecting rods? also, the 4 valve reliefs will not match the 2 valve heads u have. u will risk valve slap depending on lift. u'd be better off getting custom pistons made in the compression u want.
2001 Arctic White Firebird<br />More mods than I\'m allowed to list!
First off it says 3.4 everywhere even on the indicator message icon and in the title... second i know someone on this board that is using them he goes by Wolf i believe. Third i believe they have 2 valve reliefs not 4 but i could very well be wrong on that it might be 2 big ones i dunno this also would be something helpful to know about them.... either way thanks for posting but you really have no knowledge on the subject...thanks for trying tho, i think i just need to hear from Wolf
No offense to you or anything i just need to hear from someone who knows about them
Thanks again,
Dakota

its cool man..ill field this. the 3.4 DOHC pistons will work just fine. the 3.4 DOHC has dual in-line valves. the first set (intake) are set in the same position as the two on the iron head OHV. so yes the pistons will work fine. however the lowest CR 3.4 DOHC piston will give you 9.7:1 CR.
if you are thinking of using these pistons with the aluminum heads, i wouldnt do it. they will give you like 12.5:1 CR or greater!
anyway...
theres an answer for ya..o yea, these pistons have been used in a 3.4 OHV already, swapped into a fiero, no problems at all with them.
Thanks man you always help me out when i need it and i really appreciate it. I need pistons for the iron head motor the alum head project still needs a block which i am looking for at this moment i almost bought a bow tie block last week but i figured i could finish one motor and have something to drive first then worry about finishing the race motor 8-). You are the man and always hook me up with the info. Thanks again Russell :D

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
