• 200/206 .496/.480 112 Comp Cam Update

i got my car back from the shop 2 days ago.
i got a complete rebuild on my engine.the mechanic told me to wait 500 miles for the break-in period.

the ses light came on at 120 miles :(

even though the car feels pretty strong,i've been monitoring the temperature, oil pressure since day 1 and everything looks normal.

the exhaust tone sound is awesome, the engine sound is awesome, i have a flowmaster installed and so far no more raspy sound at 3500 rpm. i haven't try going more than that yet cause the break-in period. the chop is not hard at all,of course it wont be like the one on the bigger cams, but i know is there and i swear it sound like a v8 at idle but i'll let you guys be the judge on this i'm so happy that i got her back, that you never know what can you hear after all this time.

i'll have my laptop ready this saturday to record the sound and post it here.

and after those 500 miles i'll have another one
also i would get the chassis dyno to see how many hp's i'm getting to the wheels.

also i think the ses light is nothing to worry about. i'll learn to live with it.

later

do you guys think that the ses light might be because i'm not running the maf screen??? i removed it like a year ago and i don't think the guys at the shop installed a new one. i'll check anyway but just a thought. is maybe the cam but the weird thing it came 2 days later at a 120 miles driving. does it take that long for the pcm to detect this kind of things ???

Did you use upgraded lifters, retainers, pushrods, and springs?

Not sure on the SES light since everything was rebuilt. Could be any number of things.

under the dash on the driver's side. you'll see a little plastic cover. take that off and plug the obdII reader in.
i was swimming in the carribean. animals were hiding behind the rocks except for the little fish, but they told me the squid\'s trying to talk to me. oink, oink. where is my mind?

a bit raspy after 4500 rpm's though but is ok. is the nature of this V6 engine i think
