  • Took car to shop bad news

I brought car to shop after redoing the heads and all valvetrain and i couldnt solve a misfire problem. Well turned out to be a injector not functioning. then they ran further tests to fin that Cly. 2 has no compression and the othere Cly. have very odd random spratic amounts of compression. They want $1500 to fix i think its the heads what do yall think.

i dont really know that much..but do you mean the other cylinders have incorrect compression or their compression changes every cycle?..if the compression is that crazy and changes that much could it possibly be some f*cked up computer issue?

Compression has absolutely nothing to do with the computer.

Sounds very hokey. I'd get more opinions.

Again, compression is not affected by the computer.

Unless it was the mechanic's computer (compression testers are mechanical BTW), the PCM on slacker's car (and everyone else's on this site) does NOT affect the compression test results, period!

i almost bet the valves weren't sealing on the seats. A cheap valve job will do that. Lap the valves in to make sure they seat all the way around so you KNOW they wont leak.
