K guys, Ive pretty much done almost every bolt on mod you can do. I wanna get more power, I was looking into getting an Abbot racing head, but its in the 3k range. Would it be safe to just port and polish my current heads? Also what ball park price range am I looking at for this? Finally would it just be better to get the Abbot? Thanks :D

You can get the abbotts stage 3 heads/cam/intake for around $3000, not just the heads. They use the stock heads and port & polish them.

The package is $2401.XX, not $3000. Thats with the stage 3 heads, ported intake, cam, pushrods, and all the gaskets. There is an extra $400 in core charges on the heads and the intake but when we get your stock, undamaged heads and intake back, we refund it.

to answer ur original question. All the aftermarket heads out there, like Abbott, supersix zzp, ect. are essentially our heads ported and polished and reworked in different ways to achive optimum power.

So, yes you can get your heads ported and polished by a local shop but your going to have to do a lot of research because you have to be able to tell the porter all the specs you want
