Your going to do all the work required for an LS1 swap, but you'll still be short 2 cylinders!

      I wouldn't.

to put a 4.3l in a Camaro is simply pointless. The engine was made for pulling medium loads, and has a good amount of torque to do it with for being a V6, but it is not a performance motor. The thing almost dies on the top end of its rpm range, and isn't made for racing or a quick move. Its made for hauling, has been for years.

The 4.3L V6 is basically a 350 SBC with the rear two cylinders shaved off. So in order to put this engine in an F-body, you'd have to do all the same work as if you were putting in a V8, so why not just put in a V8? More power, more parts, about the same economy. Plus the 4.3's are big, heavy and not all that powerful NA. I think 190Hp and 250 lbs of torque. Just not worth the effort required.

About the only 4.3L that is worth a rip is the turbocharged 4.3L like the one in my Syclone. 280hp, 350 lbs of torque stock and a TON of potential if you can keep from breaking it. But GOOD LUCK fitting that montrosity into an F-body... :D
