I have researched this but i need some answers from those that have acutally tried these things.
I want to put a 150mph intrument cluster in my car. I know that a company makes an adapter so that the v6 tach signal is up 125% somehow so the tachometer is correct on the cluster expecting a v8 signal. My first question is, does anyone know of a cheaper solution, meaning does anyone have wiring diagrams for the item i just described or have any idea how to turn the v6 signal into the v8 signal so i would get 100% of my rev showing?
My second question deals with the jet scu 2000. I have heard that once you reach the governor the speedometer stops and the tach keeps climbing. in the case of a 150mph speedometer, this wouldnt help much cause i couldnt see how fast i was going. if i did the cluster swap and installed a jet scu 2000, would i be able to see how fast i was going beyond the governor(i am using a '95 4l60e and soon to be using a 96 3.8L with it)
