  • fuel pump upgrades

ok guys, here goes.... im lookin to start doing pretty major mods to my car (cam, port and polish, maybe nitrous). however,i want to upgrade the fuel system to accidate these parts. I have a 95 3.4L and woudl like to know what type of fuel pumps i can get to work for my car that would work as an upgrade. Id really prefer an intank pump that was as close to a direct replacement as possible. Does the V-8 pump give a higher flow rate? i've compared them side by side and have found that the direct replacements are identical externally. Do i have aftermarket options? i keep seeing this walboro (?) name thrown around in other posts. Will i require any specific tuning to deal with the new pump? an new fuel pressure regulator? id really like to get a better adjustable regulator too if i can find one for the right price. Thanks for all the help

There are PLENTY of intank pumps available for you including the Holley, BBK, Edelbrock and Walbro. Also, you can get a few different adjustable fuel pressure regulators. Some include the Holley one (which is the most popular) as well as the BBK and JET ones.

You will not require specific tuning or any other modifications to put the new pump in.

It has the same pump as the LT1 and those are good for 400hp so I have herd.
If it has never been changed it might not be a bad idea to do it. Change your fuel filter.
I did some fuel mods form my car.
