I tried going to that site, but I got a window saying "problem with website, you need to log-in". I don't have a sign in, nor do I want one. I AM interested in the lightened flywheel, but is it going to be my flywheel that is lightened, or is it gonna be an aluminum flywheel?? Anything under $200, I'm in. I can't afford to have my ride sitting in the garage for so many weeks awaiting the arrival of my original flywheel. NOT to be pushy or anything, but I kinda need my car.

This will be an all new aluminum flywheel. Somewhere around half the weight of the stock one. Not sure of the price yet but I bet it will be somewhere around the price of the mustang flywheel.

yea, it'll be an all new one. They make one for the mustang that weights 13 pounds. The stock stang one is 31 pounds. So I think if one was made, it'd be roughly half the weight of ours now. This and a one piece aluminum drivshaft would be a nice combo, like 1998silverbird said

FYI just checked on the super six forum. Tom is working on creating lightweigh alum flywheels for our cars. He ROCKS!

Someone was kind enough to donate a spare for research. Tom is on his way... buckle up!

The flywheel is finished. I have put about 1000 miles on it with no problems. It ended up being half the weight of the stock flywheel at 11 lbs.

                            Here are some photos:
