I noticed when I took out my maf screen that the maf and throttle body is one unit (I think). Can we buy a bigger bore throttle body, like from and ls1, and a low restriction maf, like for and ls1, and have it bolt-on to our upper manifolds? Or can we get a upper manifold custom made to accept a bigger throttle body?

Why? Have you looked at the TB analysis in the Technical Database? The 3.8 TB is huge.

I think a simple polish job on the MAF/TB will suffice after looking into some port work. The MAF doesn't appear to need anything serious, so a polish would be the only real thing to mess with there.

ive heard you could mount a Grand Prix GTP throttle body on our cars...its bigger than ours if i remember. Ask DEE about it he would know for sure.

One problem for the '00+ F-bodies, though...they have an electric 'drive-by-wire' throttle, whereas I believe the GTP's use the previous mechanical linkage.

As far as a L67 TB.
            Can you? Yes
Will it bolt right up? NO

If you can make an adapter plate, it shouldn't be too difficult. You might have to tune the MAF, not for sure how closely they correlate.

Will it make more power by just bolting one on?
No, it would actually make less, because your intake manifold you be a huge restriction.

Will it make more power if you port the intake manifold too? Don't know. I wouldn't expect 20HP or anything. Oh, and if you have an electronic servo TB, forget it. L67's are still using the trusty cable.

There are things you can do to enhance the flow of your TB if you are willing to do the work. But you will have to use the search....... I am not typing it out again.

I am planning on going with the LS1 TB for my car, but for a mildly modded V-6, it is way too much. I have ported heads, Supercharger, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, 3" exhaust, high ratio rockers. So my engine could use the extra size.

How will you bolt it up to your engine? I'd really like to know.

It will require an adapter plate, TB cable bracket, and a connector for the TPS. The IAC and MAF plug right up. There are few things that need to be done with the adapter plate to assure everything lines up just right.
