Ricecooker gained 30 hp without any type of tuning. He dynoed at 160 rwhp and after the kit he was at ~200 rwhpAfter you fine tune your system it should be more maybe another 20 or so rwhp.1996 Y87 Camaro, 175.0 rwhp, 211.6 rwtq.....1/4 15.500@88.54 <----- Needs work!!
-CAI, Custom bent S-Pipe, LS1 I-Pipe, Flowmaster 80 series, !MAF, manual fan switch, relocated trunk pop switch, 180 degree t-stat, More to come!
http://camaro.wbisolutions.com
WANTED!!! Hmmm... thats a tuffy...
Using COMP Cams Xtreme Energy profiles:
Shooting for a split duration because of your nitrous use..
206/212 would be nice.. driveability would remain very good while NA power would still increase as would N20 power.
212/218 , the next step up in split design... driveability would be a little less decent but I bet you would make more power with this cam using N20...
For a daily driver and not wanting to deal with many hassels like driveability issues, I say the 206/212.
You culd go with a 212/212 symmetrical duration type cam which should do very well NA and also very well N20, but typically N20 likes an exhaust favor. BUT our heads do flow very well and if you have headers and a cutout, a symmetrical duration camshaft should work nicely even with a power adder.
I plan to spray with my 212/212 cam.. I'll have ported heads, RK SPort Headers and an open y-pipe so I'm a little less worried about exhaust flow.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP

Thanks magnus i have the headers going to a 3 inch setup and when they weld i am putting in a cutout after the high flow cat. So when u say less drivability what are u meaning like it will have a rough idel cause thats not bad girls like the rumble in there pants right. Cause i would be willing to try that other cam u said whould be better. also on the heads i need to get new valve springs and retainer locks right.SICK-SIXX MEMBER
NA 14.345 with a 1.863 60 foot
Nitrous 13.03@99.5 with a 1.63 60 foot

2000 Camaro 3.8L A4: USE TO HAVE Comp Cam 210/220 .535/.547 113lsa 111 I/C, Port and Polished Heads, NX Wet Kit 100 Shot, CPRA made by CP, RK Sport Headers

bluecmaro96, I do not trust Desktop Dyno.. I wouldn't live my life by it either. Use it to graph Mike Huff's dyno with his 210/214 cam, I bet you they don't compare right.
Driveability like.. there won't be enough vacuum for the brakes, the idle will be very chopy and might die out on you when you slow down to stop.. might be hard to start.. things like that.
Really, the best bet would be to wait a few months till a few of us get our cams in so we have a better idea of what happens.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP

Lift not duration is what destroys springs.

these are the specs on my cam:
210in/214exh 112 lsa .450/ .450 lift
I have stock springs still, and there have been no problems. Although, IF I were to rebuild the motor, I would get the titanium springs from Thrasher, just for peace of mind. I would strongly recommend them, even w/ a .45" lift, if you plan on using a poweradder. This cam is very drivable, has a nice lump, and Tom says it will be good for juice.GM 3800 PowerPak guinea pig
\"what cam, that\'s just a nasty mis-fire...\"

I'm sorry but I really can't guess.. The 3.4 has a very wierd cam imho. 109 lobe separation with a 111.5 intake centerline.
Your best bet would be to talk to some 3.4 guys or call up COMP Cams. They are very helpful. If you tell them what you have and what you are looking for, they can better recomend a cam for your application than I can. Sorry.
Choosing a cam is a very risky thing. There are so many combinations, so many ways to fail... If you take the approach of.. I want the most.. I want more.. Gimme Gimme Gimme... I want all out cam.. then chances are you are going to have a cam that shakes the hell out of your car and makes no power.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP
