• Cam for my 3.8L need some help?

I know absolutely nothing about cams, what should I look for? Are they hard to remove/install?

• #2
Since you know nothing about them, yes they are hard to do. Expect to pay around $1000 if you're just doing the cam (ie, not heads). But then again you don't even have an exhaust, so you shouldn't even be thinking about a cam right now.

If you need more detailed information, do a search.

No, I wouldn't say forget about em, I say learn now before you have the money and supporting mods for it. Once you have the money and supporting mods you should know enough for one

I spent $300 on my cam. $500 for the install with a hook up. Also around $200 on all the related parts. Search around and research them a lot before you buy or you could end up with a part that isn't working up to its best. example you buy an NA cam not knowing it and run n2o on it. More risk of messing something up and it not work properly.
