cant exactly do a search cuz i really need info for my particular car..so i wanted to pick your brain about this..what do you think of the GT2 or XP Hot Cam with juice?..im thinkin the XP due to the LSA and it favors exhaust..but i would like your input..also..would i be fine with just springs/retainers?..and should either of these require bigger injectors?..would i be better off with just the GT for my application?..i guess basically what would you recommend out of these 3?..thanks for any info you can provide..i appreciate it

Wow, when I saw my name I figured I was getting flamed. Never seen anyone ask specifically for me.

If I had your setup, I'd go with the XP Hot cam. Since you're juicing it, an exahust favor is defintely not a bad thing. The XP cam also makes some pretty good power NA. Arthansen dynoed his NA and ran 231 rwhp and 230 rwtq. A GT2 would do better NA, but the XP cam would be better on nitrous. I've seen him run his car at OSW and it's great.

.536" lift is defintely too much for the stock springs. I'd go with at least Comp 915 springs, 918s being the safest. You'll need at least the retainers to run that lift on stock heads. I'm not sure where you start getting into trouble with the valve seals, but it's somehwere up in that area. I'd also get some lightweight pushrods, then you'll be set to spin it up around 6500.

If you've got the money, I'd get the heads done by either SSM or Abbott. Combined with the cam and the juice, they should really shine.

I really don't know about the injectors. With the cam only, I'd image you would be fine with the stock injectors. Don't know much about nitrous, but I think the direct port system injects fuel & nitrous together, right? If so, I would think the stock injectors could handle it. But you've got HP Tuners, so you can check to see if the injectors are up to it once you get it running.

thanks a TON for all the info man..i was definitely thinking the XP Hot Cam but i know you know an @ssload about cams so i just wanted to get your thoughts on it..its true i wont need injectors for the juice..but Arthansen needed larger ones on his car just for the cam..im not sure what else he has done though..i was actually checking out the heads on SSM..i like how they have a core charge cuz my car is my daily driver so i cant really send them out or anything..as far as tuning for it i'd probably just get a file from intense..or see if i could get one from Arthansen..i can tune for the juice but this would be a little beyond me..then just log it..well thanks a lot for confirming on the cam and providing the additional info..im not sure when i'll be getting this done but a cam is something i've been thinking about for a while..i actually am starting to think it may be cheaper and easier to go with a cam that would take just about a full second off my time then paying 2 - 3 times as much for a blower that would do the same thing (but shh..dont tell anyone haha)..well thanks man!! I think abbott will do a core charge as well for buying heads from them. I seen in a post that they were already looking around for an extra couple sets of heads so that they could do core charges to people. Check with them as well before you do by some heads if you do go that route.
