  • Milling heads for max compression

What is the max compression that we can run by milling the heads. I have read .020, but can we go anyfarther?

I'm not sure about milling the head, but I'm having my block decked, and we are hoping to be able to get the compression ratio up fairly high with that. I'm not sure if that's an option for you, but it's another way to up the compression ratio.
You want to know what\'s on my car? Tough luck!

You can only mill the heads so much. I have mine milled at .020. .020 will raise CR to 9.8-9.9 right in there. If you mill the head much more than that you will also have to mill the intake manifold to make it fit right. I would so if you want max compression out of your motor you should swap pistons.
