    heh...well when its cold I can hear my valve ticking..not good...guess Ill be investing in that extended warranty after all...anything i can do to maybee fix this or something??

    As long as it dissapears shortly after start up, it is nothing to worry about. There are several cars on this forum (including mine) that tick when they are first started. Nothing unusual, as long as it goes away after 5 min or so.

      I had valve ticking when mine was new... so I started running Valvoline Maxlife (slightly heavier 10W-30) and it went away. Wear numbers went down a lot from Mobil 1 too.... [img]smile.gif[/img]

      Also, could just be an injector.

        i always heard that on startup like that, it was the injector pulse that was audible

          so thats all it is?...ok thanks guys I had my self worried...and yes it does go away about a minute afterwards....the injector pulse now...can this be a simple injector swap...well as simple as that is....

                mine does that also. goes away after about 30 sec of idling. considered it normal.

                  my car sounds like a deisel solid roller tractor when I start it up with an SLP CAI that howls so loud you need to cover your ears it hurts. I kid you not. :(
