Loud fuel pump

my fuel pump is really loud, it makes a whinning sound all of the time. almost sounds like a vaccum cleaner running. anyone else have this problem?? i dont feel like spending the money to replace this.

Is it the stock pump or an aftermarket one? The aftermarket ones have been known to make some sound when you start the car up.

its a stock fuel pump. It makes the noise all the time.

Mine was very loud too. It worked fine for normal use, but ocassionally I wouldn't hear it and the car would be hard to start.

Then with nitrous use, the pump couldn't give enough pressure (it stopped at like 55PSI) so I am assuming that it was on its way out.

It sounded like a vacuum too. Exactly what I thought. My walbro is loud though too, but thats because it is bad *** :D .

$99 bucks for a good fuel pump is a sweet deal. The labor SUCKS but its worth it. Plus it take like 1 day and then you are done with it.
