  • Heads cam intake question

    For all you Heads, cam, intake people what did you do with your throttle body?? Did you leave it stock or get it ported and polished also?? I left mine alone.. Just wonderring if I should port it..

    I didn't, but It can't hurt if you have it tuned.

    Port/Polish, upgrade to 99+ maf sensor!

      Whats the difference between the maf sensors??

        I didnt touch mine, I was worried, even after having it tuned, that the MAF readings would be screwed up. Someday I will buy another TB and port it to see if it will work or not but right now I have bills to pay off.

          When you upgrade the maf sensor to a 99+ does it take anything else other than plug and play? Like tuning for the new sensor or anything?

                try shootin James an email if he doesnt see this..im pretty positive his TB is ported along with his intake manifolds/heads [img]smile.gif[/img]

                  My TB is stock, unported.... I used to run a ported one....

                  Stock cam though... ported heads n intake
                  Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
                  nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph
                  2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 12.125, 116.45
                  2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet

                    I ported my throttle body and kept the screen in. It runs like **** on startup. It might have helped a little topend. Not worth it in my opinion, I would rather have it run better all the time.
