The GN has them. I want to get some made for my Camaro so I don't get a perceptible amount of blow-by.
That would rule. Then maybe I won't blow dipsticks.
Any company make them already? OR will I need them CNCed? I've got all the time in the world for this. I'm determined to have the fastest V6 F-body in the country.
W/ kart racing and everyday thinking I thought that it would be alot less friction w/ two or one rings. Less friction=morepower/faster. Thats what I thought.
Ya that would probably be the case on a N/A engine. If your gonna do forced induction i think the 3 ring piston idea would work ALOT better. Say if he were going to add a turbo or a Supercharger.
the smaller the rings you can get is WAY better too!, on my dads 509 big block, he has a .043 top ring, 1/16 second ring, and a 3/16 oil ring, when building it, turning it over by hand is WAY easier, than a 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 small block(383) we built for a guy, then even easier is putting .043, .043, 3mm, you didnt even need a wrench to turn this 555 big block we built...but...these exotic sizes come with a price!!

I've been thinking the same thing since I first read this post earlier tonight.........
2001 Onyx Black Camaro M5-Totalled
2005 Ford F150 XLT 5.4L

\"To make peace, prepare for war.\"
the 3rd ring is the oil ring, as of right now (unless in the exotic indy car type racing) there are not any pistons with just 2 rings, meaning a top ring and an oil ring, i know some drag racers such as John Lingenfelter have played with just running two rings but they cannot get it to seal good enough
If your gonna get a piston with 3 rings PLUS an oil ring, your just wasting money, just buy a good set of moly rings and leave the conventional 2ring+1oil ring in it, thats all Top Fuel runs, so why should you need more???????
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
