Did you guys just line your cams up with the notches or did you dial in/degree them, too?

Also, did you load the rockers/lifters, or anything else? None of the write-ups I found say you have to, but I just want to make double-positive..

And are the GT2 cams advanced at all?

Our cams have keys built into them, then the gear goes on only 1 way.
Without an adjustable cam gear, you could only degree the cam by 1 whole tooth. You might have trouble.
The GT2 cam is degreed fine if installed at stock timing. The Intake centerline and lobe seperation dictates the timing essentially.
I know on the 1997 you have to remove the fans, I tried it without and had to stop and take the fan off.
