I have done head gaskets twice and never used a damn thing.... 40K miles after my last rebuild.. still going strong.... there should be a small circle of red or blue on the gasket itself IFIRC.... that is your "RTV, shellac, sealant, etc"

3 pages of " Dont put anything on them" should be more advice than two Dumbasses at Orieleys....

heh, it dont have red or blue
but i dont think i need copper spray, im sure its okay without it
